Rates
I offer one hour lessons for $60 for one hour, or $30 for 30 minutes. For adults I recommend 1 hour lessons, for kids 13 and under I recommend 30 minute lessons.
Lessons at your home start at around $70 for one hour and vary based on location. In home half-hour lessons for younger musicians start at $50.
Zoom lessons are $50/hr $30/30 minutes.
I require a $25 deposit for all new lessons. Lessons will not be scheduled without a deposit! I accept payment through all major online platforms (PayPal, Square, Ca$happ, Venmo, Zelle), please contact me to make a deposit. The deposit will be refunded only if, after taking one lesson, the student opts not to continue lessons with me / decides I am not the teacher for them, etc. The deposit counts towards the cost of the first lesson. The deposit will not be refunded in the event of a no-show, or cancellation with less than 48 hours notice prior to the first lesson. First/ trial lessons may be rescheduled within a two-week window.
Cancellation
I charge full rate, or $45, whichever is lower, for lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Lessons may be rescheduled within a 1 week window.
Frequent cancellations, with or without notice, will result in discontinuation of lessons/ loss of time slot: For obvious reasons I cannot reserve or block off time for students who frequently cancel. (‘Frequently’ means too often, as defined by me.) For students who cannot make a regular time, I am happy to schedule ad hoc or infrequent lessons, at non-peak times (i.e. not during week nights).
Referrals
Students who refer new students to me (minimum 2 lessons) receive a lesson free!
